HER 𝑓 - HER Frequency is an authentic and grounded conversation that delves into the experiences of women of color in the sound industry. Through candid conversations, personal narratives, and immersive visuals, this film examines these women's systemic barriers, including bias, limited mentorship opportunities, and cultural stereotyping. Simultaneously, it highlights their innovative work, showcasing how they’ve shaped the sonic landscapes of contemporary media.
This thesis is a celebration of resilience, creativity, and the unacknowledged brilliance of these trailblazers, while advocating for structural change within the industry to foster greater diversity and equity created by Teneal Boone, MFA Sound Design c/o 2025.
