Welcome to Stantonville, a town hidden in plain sight, steeped in mystery and ancestral memory. Founded in 1811 by Freed Black people who brought their cultures, customs, and spiritual practices with them, Stantonville is a place where the living and the dead often share the same space. Here, the land is lush, fruitful, and unforgiving when disrespected.
The Reaping is a tale of creation and destruction, of ancestral power and the dangers of hubris. When the sacred laws of nature are violated, the spirits of the land rise to remind us: nothing sown in blood grows without consequence.
When a naive new resident cuts down an ancient oak tree revered by the community, he unwittingly unleashes a terrifying curse, as the land itself begins to take its revenge on him in grotesque and haunting ways.
